Biography

Dr. Wesam M. is an Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at Ahram Canadian University (ACU). She received her Ph.D. with Honor from Helwan University, Dept. of Journalism, 2014. She specializes in Communication Technologies. Her research interests also focus on Immersive Communication, Digital Security for Journalists, News Algorithms, and Digital Footprint. In 2012, she was a visiting scholar at the State University of New York at Binghamton, USA. She is the author of "Multimedia Design in Electronic Journalism". Her recent publication discusses Awareness of Digital Threats and Strategies for Implementing Digital Security in Their Work, The Semiotics of Elections in Political Caricature of Online Newspaper, and Evaluation of communicators and Users’ Intentions toward Augmented Reality Technology in Journalism. She participated in many conferences in the field of media. She also participated in many academic workshops such as 'The Role of Technology, Innovation and Crowd Management in Crisis Management", " University Exams and Digital Question Banks", and “Curriculum Design and Development”. In addition to teaching and researching, Dr. Wesam is a 2D designer.
