Alaa Muhammed Yossry

Teaching Assistant
Biography

I am a teaching assistant at Ahram Canadian University, Faculty of Engineering, since 2019. I hold a master’s degree in Applied Physics from Ain Shams University, specializing in electromagnetic fields and their engineering applications , graduated in 2015 with a very good grade from the Electronics Physics Department. I served as a radar engineer in the army for three years, gaining extensive knowledge in antennas. My master’s thesis, defended in July 2023, focused on designing and modeling innovative microwave dielectric resonator antennas. I have published one journal paper and two conference papers in this field.Currently, I am working on a research project that integrates my knowledge in communication and explores the field of photonics. I am also involved in designing and characterizing nano-gas sensors and metamaterial absorbers. Additionally, I co-authored a research article on using SiO2 nanoantennas for ozone detection, published in SPIE. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong programming skills, particularly in applying the Finite Element Method (FEM) with MATLAB and undertaking machine learning projects with Python besides taught several courses, including Physics, and Electronic Devices and Electrical Engineering Practical Applications .
